Yoni Practice

TANTRA - WOMEN ONLY

Yoni is a Sanskrit word for the female reproductive system as a whole and can also be translated as 'the source'. A woman's Yoni is her source of wisdom, power and pleasure that is often hidden under a layer of taboo, shame and pain.

During Yoni Practice you are gently guided through these layers so you can come back home to your body and cultivate a loving connection with your Yoni. First you'll create the safety within your surroundings, your body and your nervous system. Practicing Yoga

Heart opening Yin

YIN YOGA

Yin Yoga is a practice of long and static holds. We feel into the body, into our individual pose, we allow the mind to rest, the nervous system to calm down and enter a save space of tranquility and wellbeing. The upper body will be the main focus for these 60 minutes, we dive into a soft, relaxing practice and allow our self to feel for our love again.

This practice is suitable for every yoga level.

Child's Pose

Restorative Yoga

YOGA

This session provides a deliberately slow paced environment for diving deeper into a practise, that replenishes the soul. Starting with slow, mindful breath-work, as a way to release tension and resting in supported restorative yoga postures to shift the nervous system back into balance, this allows the power of the breath to move blocked energy and raise awareness. Immersive + deep meditation begins to heal and attend to deeper matters.

Props: a pillow, 2 blankets, eye pillow (or something to cover the eyes)

Breathing Meditation

Breath-work and meditation

MEDITATION

Conscious breath-work (pranayama) is a bridge between the body and the mind. We must first work on and prepare with pranayama before attempting to move into the state of meditation. In mediation, we discover our inherent restlessness. Sometimes we get up and leave. Sometimes we sit there, but our bodies wriggle and squirm, and our minds go far away. This can be so uncomfortable that we feel it's impossible to stay. Yet this feeling can teach us not just about ourselves but what it is to be human…

Props: a pillow, a  blanket, something comfortable to sit on

Cycle: Move

YOGA

Connect to the power of your menstrual cycle through movement. Our constructed world is set up in a linear way, yet nature and our bodies are cyclical. By moving in ways that honours this cyclical nature (and understanding different cycle phases and characteristics), we feel more aligned and less at odds with the world around us, leading to greater contentment and less unease. We will practice gentle movement and breathing that help connect us to this cyclical way of living.

This workshop is open to everyone, not just those who have a menstrual cycle.

Props: a yoga block

Resting

Cycle: Rest

YOGA & MEDITATION

Connect to the power of your menstrual cycle through rest. A stand alone session, and also following on from the previous session, this workshop uses restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra (a type of guided meditation) to help us tune in to our natural body cycles and those in nature. When in tune, we are more aligned with the energy and qualities of each cycle so that life flows more with ease and less with struggle.

This workshop is open to everyone, not just those who have a menstrual cycle.
